Xiaomi has finally launched Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition and Mi TV ES 2022 in China. Both the TVs come with various features which makes them tough competition for high-end models. The Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition is powered by the MediaTek MT9950 chipset, whereas the Mi TV ES 2022 is powered by MediaTek MT9638. The Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition comes with 3D LUT film industrial-grade color correction technology.Â
Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition And Mi TV ES 2022: Pricing And Variants
The Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition is launched in 3 variants- 55-inch model, 65-inch model, and 75-inch model. The 55-inch model of Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition is priced at CNY 5,999 (estimates to Rs. 68,900), the 65-inch model is priced at CNY 7,999 (estimates to Rs. 91,900), and the 75-inch model is priced at CNY 9,999 (estimates to Rs. 1,14,800).
The Mi TV ES 2022 model also comes in three models- 55-inch model, 65-inch model, and 75-inch model. Mi TV ES 2022 55-inch is priced at CNT 3,399 (estimates to Rs. 39,000), the 65-inch model is priced at CNY 4,399 (estimates to Rs. 50,500), and the 75-inch model is priced at CNY 5,999(estimates to Rs. 68,900).
Both the TVs will be officially released on 9 July. Users can now pre-order the TVs from Mi.com.
Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition: Specification
Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition is powered by a MediaTek MT9950 processor. It comes with 4.5GB RAM and 64 GB ROM. The TV has a 4K QLED screen with a peak brightness of 1,200nits. Moreover, it has 10.7 billion colors and features 97 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The TV has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has support for IMAX enhanced videos and it also offers 120Hz MEMC. The main attraction of the Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition is the dual camera with a 48MP main sensor and 100W speakers.
The TV features a full metal body and has a thin design. The TV has HDMI 2.1 + VRR support, along with the support for Dolby Vision. The different models have the difference of the backlight partitions. The 55-inch model has 100 backlight partitions, whereas the 65-inch model has 224 backlight partitions. The 75-inch model has 255 backlight partitions.
Mi TV ES 2022: Specifications
Mi TV ES 2022 is powered by a MediaTek MT9638 processor. Moreover, the TV has 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The TV supports HDR 10+ and has a 94 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. Mi TV ES 2022 has a two-channel 12.5W four-unit speaker system having the support for stereo playback. The TV also has support for the XiaoAI voice assistant. Talking about the connectivity, the Mi TV ES 2022 has Bluetooth v5, Wi-Fi, 2 USB ports, one AV port, 3 HDMI ports, one S/PDIF input, and one ATV/DTMB.
Just like Mi TV 6 Extreme Edition, the Mi TV ES 2022 has varying backlight partitions for the different models. Mi TV ES 2022 55-inch model has 32 backlight partitions, the 65-inch model of the TV has 45 backlight partitions, whereas the 75-inch model of the TV has 60 backlight partitions.
Final Words
Both the TV has been launched in the China market at a very aggressive price point. It will be good to see the brand launching them in the Indian market as well, but nothing can be said about that as of now.
