On Thursday, Samsung launched its ‘Samsung Galaxy S10 Series’ smartphone at an event held in San Francisco, California. The Galaxy S10 Lineup includes three smartphones — Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e.

The company also launched its first foldable display smartphone ‘Galaxy Fold and its first 5G smartphone ‘Galaxy S10 5G’.

The common of all three smartphones are Dynamic AMOLED Display with HDR10+ certification, Fast wireless charging 2.0, Wireless PowerShare and the processor.

Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ are the first smartphones in the world to sport an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Also, both are first to sport HDR+ display at peak brightness of 1,200 nits.

Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10e: Price, Sale Date

  • Samsung Galaxy S10 price starts at $900 (roughly Rs. 64,000) for the 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage variant and $1,150 (roughly Rs. 81,700) for the 8GB RAM/512GB internal storage variant. It will come in Prism Black, Prism Blue, Prism Green, and Prism White colours.
  • Samsung Galaxy S10+ price starts at $1000 (roughly Rs. 71,000) for the 8GB RAM/128GB internal stoarge varaint, $1,250 (roughly Rs. 88,800) for the 8GB RAM/512GB internal stoarge varaint, $1,600 (roughly Rs. 1,13,700) for the 8GB RAM/1TB internal stoarge varaint, EUR 1,260 (roughly Rs. 1,02,000) for the Ceramic 8GB RAM/512GB internal stoarge varaint and EUR 1,600 (roughly Rs. 1,29,500) for the Ceramic 12GB RAM/1TB internal stoarge varaint. It will come in Prism Black, Prism Blue, Prism Green, Prism White, Ceramic Black and Ceramic White colours.
  • Samsung Galaxy S10e price starts at $750 (roughly Rs. 53,300) for the 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage variant and $850 (roughly Rs. 60,400) for the 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage variant. It will come in Prism Black, Prism Blue, Prism Green, Prism White and Canary Yellow colours.

Samsung Galaxy S10:

Now coming to the specifications, Samsung Galaxy S10 sports a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display with 19:9 aspect ratio and QHD+ (1440×3040 pixels) resolution. Based on Android 9.0 Pie on the top of OneUI, the phone runs on 2.8GHz 7nm Snapdragon 855 processor with Adreno 640 GPU (2.7GHz 8nm Exynos 9820 processor with Mali-G76 GPU in some regions like India). It comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM option. The smartphone has the support of Hybrid Dual-SIM (nano+nano/microSD).

In optics, there is a triple rear camera setup, the first camera includes a 12MP 77-degree wide-angle sensor with f/1.7/2.4 variable aperture, the second camera includes a 12MP 45-degree telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture and the third camera includes a 16MP 123-degree ultra-wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture.

On the front, there is a 10MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture. The phone has an LED flash on the back.

When it comes to storage, the smartphone comes with UFS 3.0 128GB/512GB internal storage with microSD card support upto 512GB. Connectivity suite of the smartphone includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, NFC, IR Blaster and USB Type-C.   11. AI-powered performance in which the software preloads commonly used apps, recommends Bixby routines based on usage and has an Adaptive Power feature that optimises battery life based on user behaviour.
