Xiaomi to Launch Redmi Watch in India Along with Redmi Note 10S on May 13

Redmi is all set to launch the smartwatch along with the Redmi Note 10S on May 13, Xiaomi has hinted the India launch of the Redmi Watch on its social media platforms on Tuesday. The watch was launched in China in November last year under the brand name – Redmi.

The watch features a square-shaped dial and the company claims that it offers up to 12 days of backup on a single charge. However, the notable fact about the Redmi Watch is that it was launched in the name of Mi Watch Lite in some countries. The smartwatch comes with 24×7 heart rate monitoring.

The social media handles of Redmi India came up with a video that suggests the launch of the Redmi Watch in India. The video was a sneak peek of the watch where it shows the dial and the strap of the watch with the tagline #WearYourVIBE. In the media announcement, Redmi revealed that the smartwatch will arrive in India along with the Redmi Note 10S.

Even though there is no official confirmation about the launch of the smartwatch, the listings on the Bureau of Indian Standards site in January suggest the official approval for the Mi Watch Lite, which is apparently rebranded Redmi Watch.

Redmi Watch: Expected Price in India

The pricing of the Redmi Watch is not yet revealed. As the watch was launched in China at CNY 299, it would be approximately around Rs.3,400 in India. The watch was available in China in Elegant Black, Ink Blue, and Ivory White shades and its strap color options were Cherry Blossom, Elegant Black, Ink Blue, and Ivory White.

Expected Specifications in Indian Version

The Redmi Watch will flaunt a 1.4-inch square display with 320×320 resolution and a 323ppi of pixel density. The watch has 2.5D curved glass protection. The on-the-go payments will be made available with the NFC support available in the watch and it also has an optical sensor for continuously monitoring the heart rate. The smartwatch has a geomagnetic sensor and a built-in six-axis accelerometer for activity tracking.

The features available in the watch consist of seven sports modes including running, treadmill, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, walking, and swimming. The watch has a 230mAh battery that is expected to last up to 12 days on a single charge and it is compatible with Android and iOS devices as well.
