Redmi K30S With 144 Hz Refresh Rate Launched: Price, Specifications And Features

Redmi has officially unveiled the Redmi K30S smartphone. The phone joins the likes of Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Ultra in the K30 series. The phone comes with several premium features such as a 144 Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 865 SoC, 64-Megapixel primary rear camera, and much more. The phone is a rebadged model of the Mi 10T launched in China just last month and expected to hit Indian markets very soon.

Redmi K30S Specifications And Features

The Redmi K30S features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. The phone has an aspect ratio of 20:9, peak brightness of 650 nits, a screen to body ratio of 85.2%, and a pixel density of 395 PPI. The screen comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The phone is powered by the Octa-Core Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. The phone has 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The phone comes with MIUI 12 which is based on Android 10.

Now in terms of optics, the phone has a triple camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 64-Megapixel camera sensor with an aperture of f/1.9. The ultrawide camera in place is a 13-Megapixel sensor with a 123-degree field of view and an aperture of f/2.4. And finally a 5-Megapixel macro sensor camera with an aperture of f/2.4.

The camera can take up to 8K video at 24 and 30 fps apart from the 4K and 1080p videos as well. On the front, the phone has a 20-Megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.2. The camera is present on the top left of the display in the form of a punch hole.

For connectivity, the phone has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared (IR), NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Other sensors on board are an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

The phone houses a 5,000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. It also supports 33W Fast Charging, Power Delivery 3.0, and Quick Charge 4+. The phone measures 165.1 x 76.4 x 9.3 mm and weighs 216 grams.

Redmi K30S Pricing And Availability

The Redmi K30S has been priced for starting at CNY 2,599 (approx Rs. 28,600) for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB Storage variant in China. While the 256 GB storage variant’s price has been set for CNY 2,799 (approx Rs. 31,000). Redmi is also offering an introductory discount of CNY 300 (approx Rs. 3,300) for Chinese markets making the effective price of the phone starting at just CNY 2,299 (approx Rs. 25,300). The phone is available in Interstellar Black and Moonlight Silver color options.

The phone goes on sale in China from November 11. But there is no official word from the company regarding the launch and pricing of the phone in global markets.
