Redmi has launched the Redmi Smart Band which is the first smart band from the Xiaomi sub-brand in India. The Chinese manufacturer already has a very popular Mi-series smart bands in the country. The band was launched in China back in April earlier this year. The smart comes with several features such as Heart Rate monitoring, sleep tracking, inbuilt pedometer, and many more.
Redmi Smart Band Specifications And Features
The Redmi Smart Band features a 1.08-inch color LCD panel. Interestingly, the Mi Band 4 had an 0.95-inch AMOLED panel. The fitness band also has an optical sensor for a 24 hours heart rate monitoring. To monitor physical activities, it has 5 professional sports modes apart from the standard pedometer and calorie counter.
Users can also monitor their sleep using the band. The watch has sleep tracking along with sleep quality analysis. The watch also has Idle Alert which is set to alert the user if there has been no activity performed for a long time to motivate the user to stay fit.
Users can also use the band to check the time and manage the notifications from the paired device. The band comes preloaded with as many as 50 personalized watch faces. Users can also download other watch faces from the watch face store.
The Redmi Smart Band also is 5 ATM water-resistant. Redmi claims the device can withstand up to 50 meters of depth for about 10 minutes. This makes the band ideal to be worn while gyming and can also be worn in showers, or shallow pools while swimming.
The band comes with Raise To Wake gesture as well which means just by raising and rotating the wrists, the user can view the watch or wake it to check the time or notifications. The user won’t need to press any buttons or touch the display to do so.
The fitness-oriented smartwatch comes with a claimed 14 days of battery life on a single charge. The watch has a USB charging port instead of a custom charger as in many other fitness bands.
Redmi Smart Band Pricing And Availability
The Redmi Smart Band has been priced in India at Rs. 1,599. The band goes on sale for the first time on September 9 at 1 pm. The band can be bought from Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and other offline retailers. The band is available in Black, Blue, Green, and Orange wristband color options.
