Huawei Maimang 9 With 5G and Triple-Camera Setup Launched: Price, Specifications and More

Huawei has launched the Huawei Maimang 9 with 5G support  and powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC. The phone has a triple camera setup on the back. It also features a hole-punch display. The phone is the successor to the Maimang 8 launched last year. Early reports suggest the phone will be actually launched for the global market as Huawei Enjoy 20s for the global market.

Huawei Maimang 9 Specifications Features

Huawei Maimang 9 features a 6.8-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display. The phone has an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC. The RAM on the device is 8GB. The phone comes with Android 10 coupled with EMUI 10.1 out of the bo

In terms of camera, the device features a triple camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 64-Megapixel with an aperture of f/1.89. The other cameras on the phone include a wide-angle 8-Megapixel lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and a Depth sensor having a 2-Megapixel lens and an aperture of f/2.4. The front camera on the smartphone is a 16-Megapixel sensor.

The Huawei Maimang 9 has dual SIM support and internal storage space of 128GB which is expandable to up to 512 GB using a microSD card in the dedicated SD card slot. For connectivity, the phone has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. The phone also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Huawei has opted for the unconventional side-mounted fingerprint reader. Other sensors on the device include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, and a proximity sensor. The phone packs a 4,300mAh battery and there is also support for 22.5W Super Fast Charging from Huawei. The phone measures 170×78.5×8.9mm while it weighs 212 grams.

Huawei Maimang 9 Pricing and Availability

Huawei Maimang 9 has two variants, the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. The 6GB RAM + 128GB variant will be sold for CNY 2,199 (approx Rs. 23,400), while the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant has been priced at CNY 2,399 (approx Rs. 25,600). The phone has three color options-  Cherry Blossom, Forest of the Forest, and Phantom Night Black.

The sale for the phone starts on August 7 in China, however, the phone can be preordered through Huawei’s VMall. So far there is no information regarding Indian or global launch and pricing of the phone yet, but early reports do suggest the phone will be launched in the global markets by the name of Huawei Enjoy 20s.
