Huawei Nova 7i Featuring a Quad Camera Setup To Launch In India In July: Report

Huawei is all set to launch the Huawei Nova 7i in India next month according to reports. It is a rebranded version of the phone launched in China last year as Huawei Nova 6 SE. The Nova 7i has been launched in Malaysia back in February. The phone has a Quad camera setup and an Octa-Core processor.

Huawei Nova 7i Specifications and Features

The Huawei Nova 7i features a 6.4-inch IPS full-HD+ (1,080×2,310 pixels) display with a screen-to-body ratio of 83.5%. The phone is powered by an Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC and features 8GB RAM. The phone also has 128GB of internal storage which is expandable to up to 256GB using a hybrid nano-SIM and MicroSD card slot.

The phone out of the box comes with Android 10 and EMUI 10.0.1 which can be updated to EMUI 10.1. But due to the ongoing dispute between Huawei and the US Government, the phone doesn’t have Google Play store and services and instead, for downloading apps Huawei App Galery has to be used.

Huawei Nova 7i has a quad rear camera setup. The primary camera is a 48-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The other cameras include an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.4 and a 120-degree field of view, 2-megapixel macro camera, and also a 2-megapixel depth sensor camera both having an f/2.4 aperture. The phone has a 16-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies.

The phone has a fingerprint reader sensor on the right-hand side of the device. The other sensors on the device include, a compass, an accelerometer, and a proximity sensor. For connectivity, the device has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/a/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and USB Type-C port for charging. The phone also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The smartphone packs a 4,200mAh non-removable battery backup with 40W fast charging support as well. Huawei also claims the device can be charged to about 70% in just 30 minutes.

Huawei Nova 7i Pricing and Availability in India

The Huawei Nova 7i has been priced in Malaysia at MYR 1,099 (Rs. 19,400), while in Europe the phone is available for 240 EUR (Rs. 20,390). The pricing in India isn’t known yet, but the phone is set to be launched in India markets from July 2020.

The phone comes in three color variants- Midnight Black, Crush Green, and Sakura Pink.
