It stated that, ‘with LPDDR4, you get twice the bandwidth performance as the LPDDR3 at the same power consumption profile.’ The RAM offers optimal support for power-saving low frequency mode that brings clock speeds down when performing those everyday and necessary tasks.
The company’s CEO Pete Lau has also confirmed on Twitter that the new smartphone won’t cost more than $450(approx Rs.28500) . This works out to approximately Rs 28,500. In terms of other specifications, the smartphone is rumoured to feature a metal build. Also, the company has confirmed the presence of a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC with a USB Type-C port too. In a recent post, OnePlus also claims that the fingerprint sensor will be better than Apple’s implementation of TouchID.
Along with a few leaks, an image of the OnePlus 2 has surfaced with some notable details. The OnePlus 2 will purportedly feature a metal frame with black matte finish. Also, the smartphone’s display is rumoured to be between 5.5-inches and 5.7-inches along with a 1080p resolution. It will be offered in 16GB and 64GB storage variants paired with 3GB RAM.
In other leak, a few live images of the OnePlus 2 have been spotted. According to a report by GSM Arena, the upcoming smartphone’s front panel is similar to the OnePlus One while the back panel offers a wooden finish. The report also points out that the back of the phone seemingly shows the rumoured fingerprint scanner on a vertical bar, under the camera and flash.
