OnePlus 9R The Affordable Premium Handset Is Here: All You Need To Know

OnePlus has launched the ‘third’ flagship device in the OnePlus 9 series with the launch of the OnePlus 9R. The device is a cheaper and affordable smartphone in the OnePlus 9 series of smartphones from the brand. The model is also an India exclusive model from the company.

OnePlus 9R Specifications And Features

The OnePlus 9R features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Fluid Display AMOLED display. The display has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a pixel density of 402 PPI, and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The OnePlus 9R runs on the Android 11 based OxygenOS 11. The device is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. The phone has up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Now coming to the cameras, the OnePlus 9Rhas a Quad camera setup on the back. The primary sensor is a 48-Megapixel Sony IMX586 lens having an aperture of f/1.7 and optical image stabilization (OIS) and EIS support. Then there is a 16-Megapixel Ultra Wide Angle Lens having an aperture of f/2.2 and a field of view of 123 degrees. There is also a 5-Megapixel Macro camera sensor and a 2-Megapixel Monochrome sensor. On the front, the OnePlus 9R has a 16-Megapixel Sony IMX471 camera lens having an aperture of f/2.4.

For connectivity, OnePlus has provided 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port in the smartphone. In terms of sensors, the phone has an Accelerometer, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Sensor Core, and Flicker-detect Sensor. There is also an In-display Fingerprint Sensor.

The OnePlus 9R has a VC cooling system which is a state-of-the-art cooling system that ensures the phone stays cool even in heavy gaming and usage. The phone also has a Pro Gaming Mode to further enhance the gaming experience. There is also an ultra-fast 240 Hz sampling rate for a lag-less gaming experience.

The smartphone houses a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W Fast Charging using the Warp Charge 65T technology. Using it, the phone can be charged from 1%-100% in just 39 minutes. The company also claims it can provide a day-long charge by charging the device for just 15 minutes. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 161.2×74.1×8.4 mm and weighs 189 grams.

The OnePlus 9R has been priced in India starting at Rs. 39,999 for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option. While you will have to spend Rs. 43,999 for the 12 GB RAM +256 GB storage model. The phone will be available in Lake Blue and Carbon Black color options. The phone will be available in India from Amazon India and the company’s official India page and app.
