On Thursday, Xiaomi launched its three new smartphones, ‘Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9 4G’ in China. The Note 9 series was not available in China as of now but it was launched in India earlier this year. However, Xiaomi did change the hardware and design of whole Note 9 series completely compared to Indian variant of Note 9 series.
It is also expected that these smartphones will launch as Redmi Note 10 series in India.
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G: Specifications and Features
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G sports a 6.67-inch LCD Display with 120Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) resolution. Based on Android 10 on the top of MIUI 12, the phone runs on 2.2GHz octa-core 8nm Snapdragon 750G processor with Adreno 619 GPU. It comes with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM options. The smartphone has the support of Hybrid Dual-SIM (nano+nano/microSD).
In optics, there is a quad rear camera setup, the first camera includes a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor with f/1.75 aperture, the second camera includes an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor, the third camera includes a 2MP depth sensor and the fourth camera includes a 2MP macro sensor.
On the front, there is a 16MP sensor. The phone has LED flash on the back.
When it comes to storage, the smartphone comes with 128GB/256GB (UFS 2.2) internal storage which is expandable up to 512GB via microSD. Connectivity suite of the smartphone includes 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS+GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. The sensors onboard the handset are an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, IR sensor and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G battery capacity is 4800mAh with support of 33W fast charging. The handset measures 165.38×76.8×9.0mm and weighs 215 grams.
