Carl Pei unofficially revealed the OnePlus Buds for the first time on YouTuber MKBHD’s recent interview video. Well, today during the OnePlus’ AR launch event, Carl Pei officially announced the first wireless earbuds of the company. Some of the major highlights of the first truly wireless earbuds from Oneplus are 13.4mm dynamic drivers, 430mAh battery in the charging case, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.

OnePlus Buds: Specifications And Features
Despite having a complete hard plastic construction, OnePlus Buds are quite rigid and they have IPX4 water and sweat resistance. The overall ergonomics of the TWS earbuds are mostly similar to the companies old bullets series. As mentioned above, the OnePlus Buds sport 13.4mm dynamic drivers. As a result, we can expect high volume output from these earbuds. OnePlus has offered three microphones on each of the earbuds.
OnePlus Buds support most mainstream codecs like SBC and AAC. Unfortunately, due to the lack of a Qualcomm chipset, these earbuds don’t support higher-quality codecs like apt-X HD.
Moving on to the battery each unit of these earbuds features a 35mAh battery. These small batteries offer up to 7 hours of music playback. Furthermore, their playback can be increased to up to 30 hours using the charging case. OnePlus claims that a 10-minute charge can offer up to 10 hours of playback. This claim is made possible through USB Type-C fast charging support.
In order to use their earphones to their full potential, you should have an OnePlus smartphone. That said, they work nicely with other Android smartphones as well. In addition to Bluetooth, these earphones also offer Google Fast Pair support for connectivity.

The OnePlus Buds are available in three different color variants namely White, Gray, and Nord Blue. These earbuds will retail for a price of ₹4,990/$79/£79/€89 based on the region from where you purchase these earbuds. In India, these earbuds can be purchased online from Amazon, OnePlus.in, and Flipkart starting 31st July 2020. Additionally, you can even buy them from offline stores.
