Honor MagicBook 15 To Launch On 31st July: Everything You Need To Know

After Xiaomi, it seems that Honor might be the second mainstream Chinese brand to soon enter the Indian laptop market. To compete with the well-received Mi Notebook 14, Honor is launching its mid-range MagicBook 15 laptop in India on 31st July 2020. Similar to the Mi Notebook 14, this upcoming portable laptop will be dedicated to students, business professionals, and casual laptop users.

Honor MagicBook 15: Design And Display

The overall design aesthetics of the Honor MagicBook 15 seems to be heavily inspired by Apple’s MacBook Pro lineup. MagicBook 15 offers a complete aluminum chassis and it has Azure Blue Chamfer beveled edge that makes the laptop look more premium.

The lightweight of 1.53Kg and 16.9mm thinness make this laptop profoundly portable. Power button on this laptop doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. Honor has adopted a very unique approach for hiding the webcam on this device. The pop-up webcam is hidden under a dedicated camera key of this device.

As the name of this laptop suggests, it sports a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The peak brightness of this laptop makes it ideal for consuming media and outdoor work.

Honor MagicBook 15: Processor, Storage, And RAM

Honor MagicBook 15 is powered by AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor coupled with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics. The third-generation mobile AMD processor can easily handle basic laptop tasks like browsing the internet, casual gaming, word processing, media consumption, and basic content creation.

This laptop will be available in two PCIe NVME SSD storage configurations i.e. 256GB and 512GB. Moreover, it has 8GB DDR4 dual-channel RAM.

Connectivity, Software, And Battery

As for connectivity, this laptop sports WiFi 802.11 ac (dual-band) and Bluetooth 5.0. This laptop has a single USB Type- C port which can be used for charging and data transfer, additionally, there’s an HDMI and two USB Type-A ports. There’s a 3.5mm audio jack on this device.

MagicBook 15 runs on Windows 10 out of the box and it comes with Magic-link 2.0 which can be used to seamlessly pair a Huawei or Honor smartphone to this laptop. There’s a 42Wh battery on this device and it comes with 65W fast charging. Honor claims that this laptop offers a maximum of 10 hours of battery life.
