The 2020 Worldwide Developers Conference is right around the corner and due to the COVID-19 Pandemic for the first time in thirty years, there won’t be any physical gathering. As you might know, WWDC is a software-based event and in this event, Apple generally unveils the beta version of next-generation iOS, macOS, tvOS, WatchOS, and the latest addition to the list iPadOS.
However, in the past few years, Apple has even started unveiling new hardware at this event. Even this time around we can expect Apple to make some major hardware announcements.
In this article, we have accumulated every bit of information that is available about WWDC 2020 on the internet.

1. ARM Processors For MacBook
Lately, Apple has been pushing the iPad Pro lineup to act as an ideal laptop replacement. The California tech giant has been improvising both the hardware and software aspects of iPad to make it a mainstream portable computing device. That said, it will still take many years for iPadOS to mature and use the hardware resources of the iPad to its full potential.
Consequently, Apple might use the hardware resources of an iPad to power some lower-end MacBooks.
The first major hardware announcement that Apple could make at WWDC 2020 might be about ARM processors based MacBook. After years of speculation, Apple might finally replace intel processors with inhouse ARM processors that the company uses in iPads. The shift from intel to ARM will be gradual and we can’t expect the launch an ARM MacBook until 2021. If everything goes well, the entire Mac lineup might be powered by ARM processors by the end of this decade or so.
2. Redesigned iMac
iMac is the only Apple desktop device in existence whose design language hasn’t been changed since the death of Steve Jobs. The design ergonomics of the latest generation 27-inch and 21-inch iMac are similar to the ones launched almost ten years ago.
This time around Apple might announce redesigned iMacs. According to some reliable sources, Apple could adopt the 2020 iPad Pro design language for the new iMac. The bezels on the new iMac will be thinner and similar to that on the Pro Display XDR. Moreover, a new screen size of 24-inch might also be introduced on 22nd June.
As far as internal hardware is concerned, the entire 2020 iMac lineup will be powered by the 10th generation intel processors. As for GPU, Apple might opt for the AMD Navi series and at last, the Fusion Drive in iMac will be replaced by all-flash storage.
Lastly, the redesigned iMac might also come with a T2 Chip for security and encoding requirements.
3. iOS 14
As of now, not much information is available about the new features of iOS 14. However, we can finally expect a major design overhaul. Apple might introduce a list view for applications in iOS 14. The fitness app, messages, and AR app will also receive new features.
