The OnePlus Z has now finally been given a July 10 release date according to the latest reports. OnePlus 8 series was expected earlier to be launched in 3 variants- OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8 Lite. But during the official launch, there was no Lite version. But very soon it was then revealed that a OnePlus Z phone will be launched.
OnePlus having considerably increased the price for their latest range of phones, a Lite version was highly anticipated. The OnePlus Z despite being a cheaper variant is filled with a ton of features. The phone is likely to feature a 6.55-inch 90Hz AMOLED display, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage for the base model. The phone will also be having an in-display fingerprint reader. The phone is also likely to have a flat-display unlike the recently launched OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.
The phone will be equipped with triple camera setup. The primary camera is to be a 48-Megapixel sensor and to go with it a 16-Megapixel ultra-wide camera sensor and a 2-Megapixel Macro camera.
The OnePlus Z is tipped to have a hole-punch display design with the camera cut-out to be located at the centre. The phone will be having dual-SIM support and NFC apart from Bluetooth v5, and USB Type-C. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset. It will also be packed by a 4,000mAh battery and with support for 30W fast charging.
Now coming to the expected pricing of the OnePlus Z or the OnePlus8 Lite, going by the rumors, the phone will be priced at about Rs. 24,990 for the base variant. The other variants that the phone will be launched in are still unknown so are the color options for the device.
Further information regarding the phone will be revealed only at the official launch of the phone on July 10. But the company may give a sneak peek at the new OnePlus TV Series launch on July 2.
