Nokia 2.2 With Waterdrop Notch Display, Android One Launched in India

On Thursday, Nokia launched its new smartphone, ‘Nokia 2.2’ in India. It is a budget-friendly smartphone which is based on the Android One programme. According to the company, it will be the fastest smartphone to get Android Q support in this price segment. It also comes with Digital Wellbeing and all its features like Dashboard, App Time, DND, Wind Down, etc. Just Like Nokia 3.2, It comes with a Dedicated Google Assistant Button. The smartphone is the successor of last year’s Nokia 2.1 which was based on Android Go.

The latest smartphone sports a HD+ Display, Single Camera Setup, Helio A22 SoC, 3000mAh Battery and much more.

Nokia 2.2: Price in India, Sale Date and Launch Offers

• Nokia 2.2 price in India is Rs. 7,699 for the 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage variant and Rs. 8,699 for the 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage variant. It will come in Steel and Tungsten Black colour options.
• The smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart, Nokia Online Store and all major retail stores starting June 11.
• The company also launched Xpress-on Covers in Pink Sand, Forest Green, and Ice Blue colour options for the smartphone.
• Launch offers include:
  1. Instant Rs. 700 off on both variants if purchased between June 11 and June 30 (Making the smartphone price as Rs. 6,999 for the 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage variant and Rs. 7,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage variant).
  2. Instant Cashback of Rs. 2,200 in form of vouchers along with 100GB Data on Jio (valid on Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 recharges).

Nokia 2.2: Specifications and Features

Now coming to the specifications, Nokia 2.2 sports a 5.71-inch TFT LCD Display with 19:9 aspect ratio and HD+ (720×1520 pixels) resolution. Based on Android 9.0 Pie on the top of stock Android, the phone runs on 12nm quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU. It comes with 2GB/3GB RAM options. The smartphone has the support of Dual-SIM (nano+nano+microSD).

In optics, there is a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The phone has LED flash on the back.

When it comes to storage, the smartphone comes with 16GB/32GB internal storage with microSD support up to 400GB. Connectivity suite of the smartphone includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack and Micro-USB port. The sensors on board the handset are accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and electronic compass. Nokia 2.2 battery capacity is 3000mAh. The handset measures 145.96×70.56×9.3mm and weighs 153 grams.
