HTC U19e With Dual Front Cameras, Iris Unlock Launched

On Tuesday, HTC launched its new smartphone, ‘HTC U19e’ in Taiwan. It comes with dual front cameras, dual rear camera setup and iris unlock support. The key specifications of the smartphone include a Full-HD+ display, Dual Rear Cameras, 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 710 and 3930mAh Battery.

The main highlights of this smartphone are Dual Front Cameras and Iris Unlock Support.

Along with this smartphone, the company also launched HTC Desire 19+ which is the company’s first ever smartphone to feature a triple rear camera setup.

HTC U19e: Price, Sale Date

• HTC U19e price is TWD 14,900 (roughly Rs. 33,000) for the 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage variant. It will come in Extraordinary Purple and Modest Green colour options.
• The smartphone will be available for purchase starting June 12.
• Availability and price in India are yet to be announced.

HTC U19e: Specifications and Features

Now coming to the specifications, HTC U19e sports a 6-inch Display with 18:9 aspect ratio and Full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution. Based on Android 9.0 Pie on the top of HTC Sense UI, the phone runs on 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor with Adreno 616 GPU. It comes with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM option. The smartphone has the support of Hybrid Dual-SIM (nano+nano/microSD).

In optics, there is a dual camera setup, the first camera includes a 12MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and the second camera includes a 20MP telephoto sensor with f/2.6 aperture.

On the front, there is a dual camera setup as well, the first camera includes a 24MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and the second camera includes a 2MP sensor for Iris Unlock support. The phone has a Dual-LED flash on the back.

When it comes to storage, the smartphone comes with 128GB internal storage with microSD support upto 2TB. Connectivity suite of the smartphone includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C Audio and USB Type-C 3.1 port. The sensors on board the handset are an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, magnetometer and rear-facing fingerprint sensor. HTC U19e battery capacity is 3930mAh with the support of Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0 fast charging (Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 fast charger bundled in-the-box). The handset measures 156.5×75.9×8.0mm and weighs 180 grams.
