On Thursday, HMD Global unveiled the latest smartphone, Nokia 7.1 at an event in London. The smartphone is the successor of Nokia 7.

The main highlights of the smartphone are 19:9 PureDisplay with Notch on the top, Snapdragon 636 SoC, fast charging, USB Type-C, 6000 aluminium series build. The smartphone is part of Android One program and it is promised by the company to receive Android Pie update in November. It will also receive Android Security updates every month for minimum three years.

  • Nokia 7.1 price starts at EUR 399 (roughly Rs. 27,000).
  • The smartphone will be available for purchase starting this October only. The smartphone will come in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel colours.

Now coming to the specifications, Nokia 7.1 sports a 5.84-inch PureDisplay with 19:9 aspect ratio and full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) resolution. The smartphone has HDR10 support along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Based on stock Android 8.1 Oreo based on Android One program, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 636 processor. In optics, there is a dual rear camera setup, the primary 16MP autofocus sensor with f/1.8 aperture and secondary 5MP fixed-focus sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera comes with camera features like two-phase detection and Zeiss optics. On the front, it comes with an 8MP fixed-focus sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree wide angle lens. The camera comes with camera features like Bothie mode where photos, videos can be captured by both front and rear camera at the same time. The phone has LED flash on the back.

When it comes to storage, the smartphone comes with 32GB/ 64GB internal storage and microSD support up to 256GB. Connectivity suite of the smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and more. The sensors on board the handset are accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, electronic compass and rear-facing fingerprint sensor. The Nokia 7.1 battery capacity is 3,000mAh with the support of 18W fast charging. The handset is listed in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel colours measures 149.7×71.19×7.99mm and weighs 159 grams.
