Oppo Reno 5Z 5G Launched: Price, Specifications And Features

Oppo has launched the Oppo Reno 5Z 5G smartphone in Singapore on April 7. The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC and also has a Quad camera setup on the back with the primary sensor being a 48-Megapixel lens. The device is very identical in specifications to the Oppo F19 Pro+ 5G launched in the country earlier this year.

Oppo Reno 5Z 5G Specifications And Features

The Oppo Reno 5Z 5G features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The display comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8%. The phone runs on Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1. Under the hood, the device is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset coupled with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

In terms of camera, the smartphone comes with a Quad Camera setup on the back. The primary sensor is a 48-Megapixel lens having an aperture of f/1.7. The phone also has an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera sensor. The other two cameras in place include a 2-Megapixel Portrait lens and a 2-Megapixel macro camera lens.

On the front, the phone has a 16-Megapixel camera sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 placed on the top left of the display as a hole punch cutout for taking selfies and attending video calls.

For connectivity, the Oppo Reno 5Z 5G includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. For storage, the phone comes with 128 GB of onboard storage. There is also a microSD card slot to expand storage to up to 256 GB.

Oppo has also introduced a range of features making the phone easier to use. FlexDrop is a new feature added by the company to make multitasking easier. There is also Folder Quick Merge to keep several apps in a single icon on the home screen. Also, Oppo has introduced the 3-Finger Translate option using which users can translate any information easily by just swiping the screen with 3 fingers simultaneously.

The Oppo Reno 5Z 5G houses a 4,310mAh battery with support for 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. Using this Fast Charge technology, Oppo claims users can charge the phone for just 5 minutes and obtain 2.9 hours of calling worth or 0.9 hours of Instagram use worth of battery life. It also has a super low-power mode especially for the night which is claimed to use just 1.78% battery over 8 hours. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 160.1×73.4×7.8mm and weighs 173 grams.

Oppo Reno 5Z 5G Pricing And Availability

The Oppo Reno 5Z 5G has been launched in the single 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option carrying a price tag of SGD 529 (approx Rs. 29,300). The phone comes in Cosmo Blue and Fluid Black color options. The phone is available only in Singapore for the time being and there is no information regarding the India launch and availability of the device so far.
