Asus ExpertBook B9 (2021) Launched in India: Price, Specifications & More

Asus has launched its latest notebook, the Asus ExpertBook B9 (2021) in India. This range of laptops from Asus comes with an ultra-thin design and is specifically designed for business customers. The company has also claimed the laptop has been manufactured using materials meeting US military standards. The notebook comes with an 11th-generation Intel Core processor. This laptop is the latest installment in the ExpertBook series of notebooks from the company. The laptop was first unveiled in the CES 2021 back in January and it finally hits the market now.

Asus ExpertBook B9 (2021) Specifications And Features

The Asus ExpertBook B9 (2021) features a 14-inch NanoEdge IPS Full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) LED-backlit display. The display comes with an aspect ratio of 16:9, a peak brightness of 1400 nits, and has a screen-to-body ratio of 94%. The company also says the display to be an Anti-glare display and is LED Backlit. The screen also has just 4mm thin bezels for an unparalleled viewing experience.

The notebook runs on Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home. Under the hood, the laptop is powered by either an 11th-generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor based on the model. The processor has an up to 2.8GHz clock speed with Turbo Boost (up to 4.7GHz) and a 12 MB cache. The notebook makes use of Intel Iris Xe Graphics. It also comes with 8 GB and 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM options.

The onboard storage on the laptop is dual M.2 NVMe PCI 3.0 with up to 2 TB capacity. There are also select SKUs with RAID 0 and RAID 1 support for even faster results.

The notebook comes with many features to enhance the user experience. To handle the audio output of the notebook, it has four omnidirectional (360-degree) far-field microphones, smart-amplifier technology, and Harman/Kardon-certified speakers making use of AI-powered noise-canceling technology.

Continuing from the previous gen of ExpertBook, even the Asus ExpertBook B9 (2021) comes with ASUS NumberPad that is an LED-illuminated numeric keypad. Users can just tap on the NumberPad icon on the TouchPad to turn it on. This makes typing numbers much easier for the users.

The laptop also uses the AdaptiveLock feature which automatically senses when the user is sitting near the laptop and so automatically turns on the integrated infrared camera to recognize the face and unlock the laptop. Also, when the user moves away from the notebook, it automatically locks the laptop as well.

The keyboard on the notebook also comes with a backlit allowing using the laptop even in dark conditions very easily. The keyboard also is spill-resistant making it cope with up to 66 ccs of liquids without any harm. The laptop also has an ErgoLift hinge that automatically tilts the keyboard at an angle to make typing much easier for the user.

The connectivity options provided with the notebook include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI port, and an audio combo jack. The laptop also has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.

Asus has also brought in new and improved MyASUS function for seamless linking of the Asus ExpertBook B9 (2021) to user’s smartphone. Users can transfer files, URLs, receive or make phone calls, mirror screen, or even extend screen.

In terms of security, the laptop has several features as the company claims of providing enterprise-grade security features. The laptop has IR Camera, Trusted Platform Module (TPM), Kensington Lock Slot, Fingerprint Sensor, and webcam shield provided with the laptop. The webcam also comes biometric-login.

Coming to battery, the laptop houses a 66Wh lithium-polymer battery which the company claims can provide a full-day worth (20 hours) of usage on a single charge. It also supports 65W Fast Charging using the USB Type-C charging port. Asus also claims the laptop can be charged to up to 60% in just 49 minutes of charging.

The notebook is made up of magnesium-lithium alloy chassis making it weigh just 1.005kgs. It also has a very slim body having a thinness of just 14.9mm. The notebook is also claimed to meet the MIL-STD 810H US military standard test.


Asus ExpertBook B9 (2021) Pricing And Availability In India

The Asus ExpertBook B9 (2021) has been launched in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 1,15,498. The laptop will be available in India through Asus Exclusive Stores and leading partner retail stores across the country. The laptop will be made available in the coming days.

The 2020 version of the notebook was available in India starting at Rs. 1,02,228 and available on Amazon and Flipkart.
