Realme GT 5G Launched: Price, Specifications & Features

Realme has launched the Realme GT 5G as the company’s latest flagship smartphone offering. Realme has launched the smartphone only in the Chinese market for now. But the device comes with the most premium, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It has a 120Hz screen refresh rate along with a triple rear camera setup with a 64-Megapixel primary sensor. The company has also provided 65W Fast Charging support and gamer-centric features such as a tactile engine apart from a new GT mode.

Realme GT 5G Specifications And Features

The Realme GT 5G features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display. The display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, 98 percent NTSC, a touch sampling rate of 360Hz, 100 percent DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.7 percent. The display also has a Corning Gorilla 5 glass protection.

Under the hood, the phone comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC coupled with Adreno 660 GPU. The phone also has up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.

Coming to the camera setup, the Realme GT 5G has a triple camera setup on the back. The primary sensor is a 64-Megapixel Sony IMX682 camera lens. There is also an 8-Megapixel ultra-wide camera lens having a field of view of 119-degree. And lastly, the phone has a 2-Megapixel macro camera sensor with a range of 4 cm.

On the front, the phone has a 16-Megapixel camera sensor for taking selfies and attending video calls. It also supports PureRaw mode, AI selfies, up to 4K 60fps recording, and much more. The front camera is placed in a punch hole cut-out on the top left of the screen.

For connectivity, the Realme GT 5G includes 5G Dual-mode, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. The device also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone also has features such as stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res audio.

The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W Fast Charging. In terms of dimensions, it measures 8.4mm in thickness and weighs 186 grams.

Realme GT 5G Pricing And Availability

The Realme GT 5G has been launched in China carrying a starting price tag of CNY 2,799 (approx Rs. 31,400) for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant. While the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage version will be available for CNY 3,299 (approx Rs. 37,000).

The phone has been launched in Blue, Silver, and Racing Yellow (vegan leather finish) color options. Customers in China can prebook the smartphone now and the device will go on sale from March 10, 2021. There is no information yet regarding the timeline of the availability of the phone in the Indian market, but the company has announced the Realme GT 5G will be launched in the global markets soon.
