Samsung has launched its latest offering in the affordable smartphone department, the Samsung Galaxy M02. The phone is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy M01 launched in June last year. The phone was rumored for the official launch for quite sometime after finally being officially launched earlier today. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery, dual rear cameras, 32 GB of onboard storage, and is powered by a MediaTek SoC.
Samsung Galaxy M02 Specifications And Features
The Samsung Galaxy M02 features a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display. The display also comes with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20:9, a pixel density of 270 PPI, and a screen to body ratio of 81.9%.
The phone is powered by the Quad-Core 1.5 GHz Mediatek MT6739W SoC. In terms of the GPU, the phone has PowerVR GE8100. The phone comes with up to 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage. The phone runs on Android 10 with One UI on top of it.
Coming to cameras, the Samsung Galaxy M02 has a dual-camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 13-Megapixel camera sensor having an aperture of f/1.9. The secondary camera is a 2-Megapixel Macro camera sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. On the front, the phone has a 5-Megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.0 for selfies and video calls.
The phone has several connectivity options that include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. There is also a microSD card slot to upgrade the storage to up to 1 TB. The sensors on the device include an Accelerometer and proximity sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy M02 houses a non-removable 5,000mAh Li-Po battery. The phone also supports 10W Fast Charging. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 164 x 75.9 x 9.1 mm and weighs 206 grams.
Samsung Galaxy M02 Pricing And Availability In India
The Samsung Galaxy M02 will be sold in India having a price tag of Rs. 6,999 for the 2 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant. Although, the phone will be available at an introductory early discounted price of Rs. 6,799 based on the listing of the phone on Amazon. The phone also has a 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage option but the pricing of the model hasn’t been revealed by the company yet.
The phone has Black, Blue, Gray, and Red color options and will be available to be purchased from February 9 through Amazon, Samsung India online store, and leading offline retailers as well.
