Samsung has launched two new budget smartphones, Galaxy M11 and Galaxy M01 in India. The South Korean company has put a very attractive price on them to spice up the budget range smartphone battle. The Galaxy M11 comes packed with a Triple camera setup on top of a 6.4-inch HD+ hole-punch display. On the other hand, the Galaxy M01 has a dual-camera setup and a waterdrop-style display. The Galaxy M11 had earlier been unveiled in the United Arab Emirates earlier this year but it’s the global launch of Galaxy M01.
Samsung Galaxy M11
The Samsung Galaxy M11 is a successor to the Galaxy M10 launched last year, but just like its predecessor its aimed at the budget smartphone market and tries to punch way above its weight. The major highlights of the phone include a 6.4-inch HD+ display with a corner punch hole cut, a huge 5000 mAh battery, and a triple camera setup. The camera includes a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 lens, 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens. The phone comes with Android 10 out of the box with two promised major software updates along with One UI 2.0. To run all this, the phone is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC with a 3GB and 4GB RAM option.
The phone comes in two storage capacity options of 32GB and 64GB variants. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot which makes the storage expandable up to 512GB. When it comes to connectivity the phone has a USB Type-C slot along with a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and 4G VoLTE. To top it all off the phone has a fingerprint reader at the back of the phone. Galaxy M11 is packed with an array of sensors that include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. The phone runs on 5,000mAh battery with a 15W fast charging and weighs 197 grams.
Samsung Galaxy M01
The Samsung Galaxy M01 is another very competitively priced budget smartphone. The phone runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.0. The display of the phone features a 5.71-inch Full HD+TFT Infinity-V display with a waterdrop-style camera cut-off. At the camera front, the phone has a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. For selfies, the phone also has a 5-megapixel front camera sensor, along with an f/2.2 lens. The phone is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 SoC with 3GB of RAM.
The phone has an only 32GB storage variant which is expandable up to 512GB through a dedicated microSD card slot. For connectivity, the phone has a micro USB slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and FM radio. The phone runs on a 4,000mAh battery but without fast charging support.
Pricing of Samsung Galaxy M11 and Galaxy M01 in India
The Samsung Galaxy M11 comes in two variants with the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant at Rs. 10,999. While the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant has been given a price of Rs. 12,999. Both the variants come in Black, Violet, and Metallic Blue color options.
The Samsung Galaxy M01 has a single 3GB RAM + 32 GB storage option which has been priced at Rs. 8,999. The phone comes in Black, Blue, and Red color options.
Both the phone will be available online as well as in offline stores. On Amazon, Flipkart, and other e-retailers both the phones will be available to be purchased from 2nd June 2020 at 3 pm IST.
