Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G Launched In India: Price, Specifications And More

Oppo has launched its latest flagship smartphone in India with the launch of Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G. The phone was earlier launched in China last month and is now having its highly anticipated India launch. The device features a Quad camera setup at the back along with 65W Fast Charging support. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC that supports 5G connectivity.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G Specifications And Features

The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) OLED display. The display comes with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, an aspect ratio of 20:9, a screen to body ratio of 92.1%, and a pixel density of 402 PPI. The device also runs on Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1 on top.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G features an Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. The graphics are handled by the ARM G77 MC9 GPU. The phone also comes with 8 GB and 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM options. The phone also has 256 GB of onboard storage.

In terms of cameras, the phone has a Quad camera setup on the back. The primary sensor is a 64-Megapixel camera lens with an aperture of f/1.7. Along with it, the phone also has an 8-Megapixel Ultrawide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, a 2-Megapixel macro shooter with an aperture of f/2.4, a 2-Megapixel portrait shooter with f/2.4 aperture.

For further enhancement of the image quality, Oppo has also added several Artificial Intelligence (AI)features that include an AI Highlight Video, AI Scene Enhancement, Night Flare Portrait, and an Ultra-clear 108MP Image. There is also Dual View Video that simultaneously captures videos from both front and rear cameras.

For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 32-Megapixel sensor having an aperture of f/2w.4 present on the top left of the display as a hole-punch camera cutout.

Connectivity options on the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The phone has several sensors on the device such as an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. There is also an in-display fingerprint reader on the device.

The device houses a huge 4,350mAh battery with also support for 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging. The battery also supports SuperVOOC, VOOC 3.0, USB Power Delivery (PD), and Quick Charge. In terms of dimension, the phone measures 159.7×73.2×7.6mm and weighs 173 grams.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G Pricing And Availability In India

The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G has been priced in India at Rs. 35,990 for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option. There are other variants for the device as well but they will be available in the country in the near future. The phone has Astral Blue and Starry Black color options.

The phone can be purchased in India from Flipkart, Oppo India e-store, and retailers including Big C, Croma, Reliance Digital, and Sangeetha starting from January 22, 2021. However, the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is available for pre-order from today.

Oppo is also giving special discounts for early customers that include a 10 percent cashback for customers using HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank cards. There will also be an Rs. 2,500 cashback on Bank of Baroda and Federal Bank cards, as well as Zest Money. Oppo is also offering 11 percent instant cashback in the Paytm wallet for purchases made through Paytm.

Apart from bank offers, Oppo is also offering 120 GB of a cloud service for 12 months from the date of purchase for its new customers. Along with it, upon bundling the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G with Oppo Enco X earbuds, customers can avail an Rs. 1,000 instant discount. Existing Oppo customers can also avail of benefits including an extended warranty, up to Rs. 1,500 upgrade bonus, and special EMI schemes.
