LG has announced the official launch of the LG Wing smartphone in India. The Swiveling phone from LG is part of the Explorer Project initiative of the company. The phone created headlines for having two displays on the same screen but in a never seen before form factor. The phone joins LG Velvet in a list of many new phones to be launched by the company to make use of new groundbreaking tech.

LG Wing Specifications And Features
The LG Wing features the main display with a 6.8-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,460 pixels) P-OLED FullVision screen. The display has an aspect ratio of 20.5:9 along with a pixel density of 395 PPI. Coming to the other display, the phone has a  3.9-inch full-HD+ (1,080×1,240 pixels) G-OLED panel as the secondary display having an aspect ratio of 1.15:1 while a pixel density of 419 PPI.
Under the hood, the swiveling phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC with Adreno 620 GPU. The phone has 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage.
Coming to optics, the phone makes use of a triple camera setup on the back. The primary is a 64-Megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. The secondary is a 13-Megapixel Ultrawide camera sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 and a field of view of 117 degrees. Lastly, a 12-Megapixel Tertiary camera sensor which has an aperture of f/2.2. The cameras also support Gimbal Mode which allows the users to control the camera’s focus and center of the area using a virtual joystick.
The phone also has a 32-Megapixel front camera with an aperture of f/1.9. The front camera is in the form of a pop-up sensor.
For connectivity, the phone has 5G, 4G LTE-A, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
The phone houses a 4,000mAh battery with support for LG’s Quick Charge 4.0+ technology which provides 25W Fast Charging. It also supports 10W Wireless Charging. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 169.5×74.5×10.9mm and despite the two screens weighs 260 grams.
The two display of the phone has been shown having several use cases in several form factors. LG showcased these during the launch event and come in collaboration with several third-party apps to further add compatibility to the device’s dual-screen.
Already several apps such as YouTube, Asphalt Racing, Google Maps, and several system apps are compatible with the two screens. LG has also included interesting enhancement features such as Multi App Display, Grip Lock, etc to make it easier to use this display system.
LG Wing Pricing And Availability In India
The LG Wing will be sold in India having a price tag of Rs. 69,990 for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant. As of now, the 256 GB storage variant won’t be launched in India. The phone is available in Aurora Gray and Illusion Sky color options. The device goes on sale in the country from November 9.
