OnePlus reportedly revealed the first look of their upcoming flagship- OnePlus 8T. The front view of the upcoming device seems to have leaked on the Android 11 Developer Preview’s latest edition for OnePlus 8 series smartphones. OnePlus usually launches its ‘T’ series smartphones in the Fall period so you can expect the phone to be launched between September and November.
The image of OnePlus 8T appearing online was published by OxygenUpdater in its APK teardown of the Android 11 Developer Preview 4 for the OnePlus 8 series devices. The image was reportedly present in the Settings APK. The image was reportedly present there to be used as a placeholder image to be used in the About Phone section. The image was named as oneplus_8t.webp in the developer preview. The image was located at the res folder under the drawable-xxhdpi subfolder. The image reportedly had a size of 9.46 KB.
Last month there were several other leaks about the specifications of the OnePlus 8T. The phone had reportedly appeared on Geekbench and it showed the phone to feature 8 GB of RAM coupled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and running on the unreleased Android 11 software. The benchmark scores of the phone for Single Core were 912 while the Multi Core score was 3,288.
Another leak last week found a string of code on the latest Camera app of OnePlus which mentioned 64-Megapixel photo support. However, since none of the OnePlus devices currently have a 64-Megapixel sensor in place which led to many people claiming the upcoming range of smartphones from OnePlus- the OnePlus 8T series might feature a 64-Megapixel camera in place.
There is no information from OnePlus regarding the launch date of its upcoming devices or any confirmation on the leaks that have come out yet. The Chinese manufacturers haven’t released any teaser or mentioned any features or specifications of the OnePlus 8T series yet.
