OnePlus OxygenOS 11 Is Now Similar To Samsung’s One UI

Sadly, with OxygenOS 11 OnePlus has introduced a new design language and the overall UI now resembles Samsung’s One UI. The uncluttered interface is now gone from OnePlus smartphones. Luckily, OnePlus has also added many new nifty features.

1. Always-On Display

At last, OnePlus has finally introduced the Always-On Display. Similar to the AOD offered by Samsung, the AOD on OxygenOS 11 shows time, date, and pending notifications. The custom skin offers 12 clock faces and OnePlus has collaborated with Parsons College in the US to design the theme for AOD. The AOD also displays the number of times you unlocked the device.

2. Redesigned First-Party Apps

Every first-party OnePlus application like gallery and weather has also received a major design overhaul. OnePlus has added new background and animations for the built-in apps. The new design aesthetics of the UI now offer an enlarged view on the larger screen sized OnePlus devices. Lastly, OnePlus has also opted for a bold typeface.

3. Cleaner Settings Page

The settings page of OxygenOS 11 is now almost similar to that of Samsung smartphones. As a matter of fact, if you have used Samsung smartphones in the past then you will feel right at home. The entire UI has now been redesigned to focus on one-handed usage.

4. Enhanced Dark Mode

Dark Mode has also bee drastically improved in OxygenOS 11. You can toggle the dark mode on an OnePlus device using a shortcut. OnePlus has relied on new shades of black to differentiate between the elements of the UI. Furthermore, you can even schedule the dark mode based on your preference.

5. Improved Zen Mode

Lastly, the highly praised Zen Mode has also received new themes and customization capabilities. The new themes are inspired by the cosmos, oceans, and nature. The time range of Zen Mode is not set from 1 minute, 20, 30, 40, 60, 90, to 120 minutes. Now you can even invite your friend to participate in Zen Mode.
