Today at an online event Apple introduced the new iPad 8th Gen. As you might know, the 7th generation iPad was one of the most prominent tablets of 2020. Thanks to the almost similar price point, it seems that its successor the 8th gen iPad will also gain popularity among users. Pricing And Availability

Available in Silver, Space Gray, and Gold color variants the new iPad 8th Gen will soon be available at Apple Authorised Resellers in India. Here’s the pricing of the new iPad 8th generation:

  • 32GB (Wi-Fi) – Rs. 29,900
  • 128GB (Wi-Fi) – Rs. 37,900
  • 32GB (Wi-Fi + Cellular) – Rs. 41,900
  • 128GB (Wi-Fi + Cellular) – Rs. 49,900

iPad 8th Gen: Specifications And Features

The overall design ergonomics of the iPad 8th Gen are almost similar to that of its predecessor. As a matter of fact, it’s impossible to spot any differences between the iPad 7 and the iPad 8. There’s a 10.2-inch Retina display on this iPad with a resolution of 2160 x 1620 pixels, 500 nits brightness, and 264 PPI.

iPad 8th generation is powered by the new Octa-Core A12 Bionic 7nm chip with 64-bit architecture. According to Apple, the new processor offers 2x faster graphics compared to the previous generation and there’s a drastic improvement in the CPU department as well. As stated earlier, the iPad is available in 32GB/128GB variants. This time around, Apple has also offered Stereo speakers and dual microphones.

Furthermore, there’s an 8MP primary camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 1.2MP front-facing camera on this iPad. It is worth noting that, there’s no LED flash on this device. iPad 8th generation is compatible with 1st generation Apple Pencil and Apple Keyboard Case Folio.

As for security, the iPad relies on the traditional Touch-ID sensor. Lastly, there’s a massive 32.4-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery on this device.
