Sony WF-1000XM3 Premium True Wireless Earphones With Active Noise Cancellation Launched In India

Sony has finally released its flagship true wireless earphones, the Sony WF-1000XM3 in India after having globally launched it last year. This comes just weeks after having launched the WF-SP800N and WF-XB700 true wireless earphones in India. The WF-1000XM3 comes with Active Noise Cancellation and NFC is enabled.

The Sony WF-1000XM3 features 13mm Dynamic Drivers along with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. They also have Sony’s proprietary QN1e processor for providing Active Noise Cancellation. For wireless connectivity, the earbuds come with Bluetooth v5.0. It also supports SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs.

Sony claims the earphones on one full charge can provide 6 hours of music playback time. While the case can charge the earphones three times providing a battery backup of about 32 hours with the case and earbuds fully charged. For charging, the case of the TWS earphones has a USB Type-C port. The earbuds also have NFC Support for quick pairing.

The earbuds can be used and customized using Sony’s ‘Sony Headphones Connect app’ available on Google Play Store and iOS App Store. The earphones have the SBC and AAC Bluetooth codec which does allow it to have a seamless connection to iOS devices and most Android devices as well, but the absence of Bluetooth codecs such as aptX and LDAC does question its pricing. Especially since these are available in other truly wireless earphones in this range.

Sony WF-1000XM3 Pricing and Availability

The Sony WF-1000XM3 has been finally launched in India and priced at Rs. 19,990. However, the Truly Wireless Earphones have an introductory offer for the first 10 days wherein they will be available at Rs. 17,990. The earphones go on sale in India from 6th August. The earphones will be available online on Sony’s Online Store and Amazon India as well as offline in select Sony retail stores and partner retailers as well.

The earphones will be competing with flagships from other top brands such as Apple AirPods Pro, Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, and the recently released Samsung Galaxy Buds Live.
