RedmiBook Air 13 With 10th-Generation Intel Processor Launched

After establishing supremacy in the international smartphone market, Xiaomi is now focusing on laptops. The Chinese tech giant is slowly expanding its laptop lineup and RedmiBook Air 13 is the latest member of this lineup. Dedicated to students and business professionals the thin and light notebook is designed with portability in mind.

As you might have guessed by now, apart from the name the Air series of laptops from Redmi are heavily inspired by Apple’s MacBook Air lineup. Furthermore, with almost similar display and dimensions, it even acts as a Windows-powered cheaper alternative to the MacBook Air. So here’s everything you need to know about the RedmiBook Air 13.

Pricing And Availability

The RedmiBook Air 13 is only available in a single silver color variant. There are two different versions of this laptop, the one with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD is priced at 4,899 yuan or roughly Rs. 50,600. On the other hand, the one with 6GB RAM and 512GB SSD costs 5,199 yuan which translates into Rs. 56,000.

Xiaomi hasn’t revealed any information about the launch of this notebook in other international markets. The notebook will go on sale in China on 17th August.


RedmiBook Air 13: Features And Specifications

As mentioned earlier, profound portability is one of the remarkable features of the new Redmi Air notebook. The ultrabook sports a complete metal construction and it is 12.99mm thick and it weighs just 1.05kg. The 13.3-inch display on the device has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Luckily, the display supports 100% sRGB color gamut and it can achieve a max brightness of 300nits.

Unquestionably, the display is ideal for both media consumption and creation. The 10th generation Intel Core i5-10210Y processor with Turbo Boost of up to 4.5GHz powers the RedmiBook Air 13. There’s no dedicated GPU on this notebook rather it relies on the integrated GPU for GPU-intensive tasks. To avoid heating issues the notebook relies on an all-copper heat dissipation module.

For connectivity, the notebook offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, two USB Type-C ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The 41Wh battery of the device can be charged using USB Type-C port. Lastly, the notebook comes with Windows 10 pre-installed.
