In Xiaomi’s 10th Anniversary event, they have unveiled Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition. It is said to be the first transparent mass-produced TV in the world. It has very narrow bezels at the top and side while at the bottom it has a large circular base that contains speakers and essential electronics. The TV also features a 4K OLED display panel and a 120 Hz refresh rate screen.

Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition Specifications And Features
The Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition features a 55-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) transparent OLED display. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate, MEMC motion compensation, a static contrast ratio of 150,000:1, and a 10-bit panel. The TV has DCI-P3 color gamut coverage of 93 percent and 1ms response time. The TV has an ultra-thin 5.7mm body.
The Transparent TV is powered by the quad-core Cortex-A73 CPU and Mali-G52 MC1 GPU coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It also has AI Master Smart Engine and MediaTek 9650 custom-made TV chip which has over 20 optimization algorithms and dedicated optimization for 5 major use scenarios.
In the Audio department, the TV has two 8W speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and also Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD. The AI Master for Audio is also present that intelligently detects the type of content being played by the user and automatically chooses a fitting audio mode such as movies, music, news, sports, and more.
For Xiaomi, Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition is also a major exploration of future TV forms. It has cutting-edge display technology and exquisite industrial design.
When Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition is turned off, it looks like a mere glass display. The pictures it displays seem to be floating in the air, merging the virtual and the real to bring an unprecedented visual experience.

Since it is a transparent TV, it has no backlight which makes it feel as if the image is floating. The base at the bottom contains the main processing unit of the TV along with the speakers and the outlet for the wires allowing easy cable management.
The TV runs on custom-made MIUI for TV with the Home page, Settings, and My App in order to enhance the display through the transparent panel. It also supports Always-On display which can be used to display customized images and texts. The TV also allows access to the Xiaomi AIoT ecosystem and is compatible with Airplay and Miracast.
For connectivity, it comes with a dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, an AV port, and an Ethernet port. In terms of dimensions, the TV measures 750 x 1227.50 mm without the base while the height when counted with the base increases to 823.11mm. The total weight of the TV is 24.96kg.
Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition Pricing And Availability
The Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition has been priced in China at CNY 49,999 (approx Rs. 5.37 lacs). The TV is available for pre-ordering in China through Mi.com while the sale starts from August 16. But there is no information regarding the global launch of the TV yet.
