Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G With AMOLED Display and Snapdragon 865+ SoC Launched: Price, Specifications and More

Samsung has launched Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G just a few days before the Galaxy Unpacked event. The phone is just a 5G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip launched last year with the latest Snapdragon 865+ SoC. Samsung is all set to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series and Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 in the event. The Galaxy Unpacked will be held on August 5, 2020.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G Features and Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G features a 6.7-inch full-HD (1080×2636 pixels, 425ppi) Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex display with an aspect ratio of 21.9:9 in the main screen. While on the cover, the display is a 1.1-inch Super AMOLED Display (300×112 pixels, 303ppi). The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 865+ SoC along with 8 GB of RAM. The phone will also have 256 GB of internal storage.

When it comes to the camera, the phone has a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide Camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and a field of view of 123˚. The other camera on the back is a 12-megapixel Wide-angle sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a field of view of 78˚. The front camera on the flip phone is a 10-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and a field of view of 80˚.

To run the two displays, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip packs a 3,300mAh battery. There is also support for Samsung’s Fast Charging and Wireless Charging. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The connectivity options on the device include 5G NSA/SA, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, and GPS.

The dimensions phone in the folded orientation is 73.6 x 87.4 x 17.4mm while upon opening the device, the dimensions of the unfolded phone are 73.6 x 167.3 x 7.2mm. The phone also weighs 183g.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G Pricing and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has been launched today at a price of $1,449.99 (approx Rs. 1,12,221). There are two color options for the phone- the Mystic Gray and Mystic Bronze. The phone’s earlier ‘non 5G’ variant launched last year was $70 cheaper. The phone will be available in the US from August 7.
