Samsung Launches ‘Made In India’ Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G Aluminum Edition In India

Samsung has launched a new variant of its flagship Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G smartwatch. The new variant is just a new aluminum dial and will be called Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G Aluminum Edition. The watch will be the first smartwatch from Samsung to be ‘Made In India’. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G was launched in September 2019. Apart from the aluminum body, the new variant is exactly the same watch launched last year.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G Specifications and Features

The smartwatch features a display of a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360×360 pixels. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ to protect the screen. The smartwatch has an IP68 certification for water resistance up to 5ATM.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G runs on a dual-core Exynos 9110 SoC coupled with 1.5GB RAM and 4GB of storage. The watch comes with Tizen OS 4.0 with One UI 1.5 on top of it.

The watch comes with 4G enabled in the watch which it does by allowing E-SIM in the watch allowing it to receive calls, messages, and more even if the mobile is not near. Apart from that, in terms of connectivity, the smartwatch has Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC, and GPS.

The smartwatch packs a 340mAh battery which is claimed to last for 60 hours on one full charge. The watch can track as many as 39 different workouts and of those 7 common workouts (running, walking, cycling, swimming, rowing machine, elliptical machine, and dynamic workouts) automatically.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G Aluminum Edition will be available in India for Rs. 28,490. The watch comes in Aqua Black, Cloud Silver, and Pink Gold color options just like the other editions launched last year. The watch will up for sale from July 11 on Samsung Smart Cafe, Samsung retail stores, Samsung India’s website, and leading online portals.
