For years, the budget-oriented smartphone market in India has been dominated by Chinese smartphone makers like Xiaomi, Vivo, Realme, and others. After, missing in action for quite some time, Lava has now made a comeback with an entry-level smartphone that’s luckily made in India. The smartphone I am referring to is the new Lava Z61 Pro. This budget phone checks most boxes and it is ideal for the target audience.

As stated above, Lava Z61 Pro is a budget smartphone and it sports a complete plastic construction. This ‘Z series’ device from Lava has a 5.45-inch HD+ display that’s decent for media consumption. The 18:9 aspect ratio helps the Z61 Pro look modern. The compact smartphone is covered with 2.5D glass.

Surprisingly, Lava Z61 Pro comes with the face-unlock feature and the manufacturer claims that the phone just takes 0.6 seconds to unlock.

As of now, Lava hasn’t revealed the name of the processor powering this compact device. However, since the smartphone runs the full-fledged version of Android we can expect it to offer decent performance for regular day to day usage.

The next major highlight of this smartphone is its massive 3100mAh battery. Since the device packs a 720p display coupled with a less power-hungry processor the battery can easily offer two days of backup.

Lava Z61 Pro will be available in Midnight Blue and Amber Red color variants. This smartphone retails for a price of Rs. 5,774 and it can be purchased from both Amazon and Flipkart starting next week. Additionally, the device will also be available in several offline stores across the country.
