As promised, OnePlus has finally launched its affordable smart TVs in India. The newly launched OnePlus U1 and Y1 series smart TVs offer great features at a competitive price point. After launching premium and pricy QLED smart TVs, It seems OnePlus has finally realized that India is a price-conscious market and they can only generate better sales through affordable products.

OnePlus U1 Smart TV: Specifications And Pricing

The OnePlus U1 TV is the premium version among the two. This 55-inch 4K LED TV sports premium construction and it has 93% DCI-P3 color gamut. The U1 Smart TV also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certification. If you consume sports-based content on a regular basis then the MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) feature might impress you.

Since this smart TV is based on Android TV 9.0 OS it comes with built-in Chromecast, Google Play, Google Assistant. As for sound, the 55-inch 4K TV is equipped with four units of 30W speakers.

Considering the unreliable internet connectivity in India, OnePlus has promised to launch data saver features in the upcoming software updates for these TVs. OnePlus U1 Smart TV is powered by a quad-core Cortex A53 MediaTek MT5887 processor clocked up to 1.5GHz coupled with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. This smart TV has 3GB of RAM and it comes with 16GB internal storage.

OnePlus Y1 Smart TV: Specifications And Pricing

The OnePlus Y1 series is a more affordable series. This series is available in 32-inch and 43-inch display sizes. The former sports a 720P display with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels while the latter comes with a Full HD panel and has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Both these TVs are powered by a MediaTek processor and they come with standard 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

Unlike the U series, the Y series sports a 20W speaker. That said, these TVs run on the same Android 9.0 operating system. Two of the major highlights of the Y1 series are Kids mode and Game mode. As its name suggests, the Game mode reduces the latency to 22ms.

The OnePlus TV 32Y1 retails for a price of Rs. 12,999. On the other hand, 43Y1 is priced at Rs. 22,999.
