A few weeks ago, Apple introduced its new mid-range offering namely the iPhone SE 2, or often referred to as iPhone SE 2020. This smartphone packed flagship internals coupled with a few generations old construction. Similar to Apple, Google was also expected to launch its mid-range offering in either late Q1 or early Q2 of 2020.
As you might know, sadly that didn’t happen. However, some reliable sources suggest that Google might announce the Pixel 4A in the fall of 2020.
So here’s everything you need to know about the Pixel 4A before its launch.
Google Pixel 4A: Expected Specifications And Features
Similar to its predecessor the Pixel 3A, the upcoming Google Pixel 4A is expected to sport a glass and plastic build. Since the advent of the original Pixel, the design aesthetics of the entire Pixel series has been somewhat similar and the Pixel 4A won’t be an exception. This mid-range smartphone is expected to sport a square-shaped single camera module. On the front side, there will be a hole-punch on the upper left side of the smartphone.
Pixel 4A will pack a 5.81 inches OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
The mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset might power the upcoming Pixel 4A. This processor will be accompanied by an Adreno 618 GPU. As for storage, the Pixel 4A will offer 64GB and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage and both these variants will come with 4GB of RAM. As far as performance is concerned, the Pixel 4A won’t disappoint anyone. As a matter of fact, it will be fairly difficult to notice performance differences until the regular Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4A are compared side to side.
As you might know, the major highlight of the entire Pixel smartphone series is the camera. Similar to its predecessor, the Pixel 4A will heavily on software processing for offering spectacular results with the limited camera hardware. This mid-range smartphone will pack a 12.2 MP sensor with PDAF and OIS. This time around, the Pixel 4A will be capable of recording 4K videos at 30FPS.
Some other noteworthy features of the Google Pixel 4A will be the availability of 3.5mm headphone jack, 3080mAh battery with 18W fast charging, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Sadly, there won’t be a Pixel 4A XL this year.
Pricing And Availability
According to some reliable sources, the launch of Pixel 4A has now been delayed until October of 2020. The primary reason behind this delay is not the supply chain disruption rather its the market condition. As of now, not much information is available about the pricing of this smartphone but it might launch in the $400 or Rs. 35, 000 price bracket.
