Xiaomi Mi Box 4K Android TV Streaming Device Launched in India

On Friday, Xiaomi launched “Mi Box 4K” streaming device in India. The Mi Box 4K is an Android TV 9 Pie device which can be connected by the HDMI port to your existing TV. The device supports Wi-Fi and provides users with access to a range of Android TV apps and services, including popular streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar and more.

It comes with Mi Voice Remote for fast voice search with Netflix, Prime video shortcuts and Assistant. You can download apps and games easily as it comes with Google Play. Along with this, the company also launched Mi 10 5G smartphone and Mi True Wireless Earphones 2.

Mi Box 4K: Price in India, Sale Date

• Mi Box 4K price in India is Rs. 3,499. It will come in Black colour option.
• The Earphones will be available for purchase starting May 10 at 2 PM on Flipkart.in, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores.

Mi Box 4K: Specifications

The Mi TV Box 4K can be put on a table-top with an integrated HDMI cable connected to the TV. The device is powered by a 2GHz Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor along with 750MHz Mali 450 GPU. It comes with 2 GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB eMMC internal storage. It supports HDR10 standard and up to 4K streaming on supported contents platforms. The device will play 4K and HDR content from the streaming service, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Contrary to Xiaomi’s television collection, which runs on the PatchWall interface, the Mi Box 4K runs on Android TV 9 Pie stock interface. Since the device is designed for experienced users, who typically know what they are looking for, the content of PatchWall based on finding is now out.

Connectivity suite includes an HDMI 2.0 port, USB 2.0 port and 3.5mm digital audio output. Bluetooth support for connecting headphones or wireless speakers for sound. The USB port can be used as a local media player and various video & audio file formats are supported by a wide range of devices. Chromecast Ultra is also built-in on the device, so users can cast content in a resolution of up to 4K. It measures 95.25×95.25×16.7mm and weighs 147 grams.
