Last month, Xiaomi released the new MIUI 12 interface, but it was for China. Now, the company has launched new MIUI skin globally.
The enhancements to the lastest software include lots of new animations, enhanced dark mode, updated fitness app and more sophisticated privacy controls. The visualizations involve a change to flat design, but Xiaomi has retained some animations and launched a new launcher feature.
There are also super live wallpapers which zooms in and out of a planet while unlocking the device. Gesture navigation finally comes with Android 10 swipes and quick reply feature has been implemented too.
At the end of the launch event, the company also showed the list of smartphones that will be updated to MIUI 12 along with the rollout plan. The company will start accepting MIUI 12 beta testing applications starting next week. Those interested in applying for the beta build can apply via Mi Community or Xiaomi’s Social Media handles.
