At a launch event in China today, Xiaomi unveiled their next-gen software interface, MIUI 12. It’s based on Android 10 and includes a lot of new features including, a new Interface, dark mode 2.0, improved privacy, fitness features and lot more.
The company has begun accepting MIUI 12 closed beta testing applications in China this morning. Those interested in applying for the beta build should head to the official MIUI WeChat page. Xiaomi has today released a list of all smartphones that will get the MIUI 12. So if you are looking for anything like that, here’s a quick look at the full list.

The above list does not include a plethora of smartphones including the Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Poco X2, Mi 10 Lite, and more, because Xiaomi has only revealed the list of MIUI 12 update as per smartphones available in China. The company also announced that a stable MIUI 12 update will begin rolling out before the end of June.
In the coming weeks, we can expect Xiaomi to launch MIUI 12 globally, along with phone eligibility and information on availability. It’s then that we’ll hear when your Xiaomi/Redmi smartphone will get the MIUI 12 update in India. Since with the COVID-19 pandemic, the launch could be delayed so we’ll just have to wait for more details.
