On Monday, Honor teased ‘Honor V20’ smartphone at an event held in Hong Kong, China. The smartphone will be the successor of Honor V10 which was launched last year.

Honor came up with a surprise announcement of Honor V20, in order to beat Samsung Galaxy A8s and grab the title of World’s first smartphone with an in-display camera.

But according to us, Samsung Galaxy A8s will be considered as World’s first smartphone with In-display camera because Samsung actually launched the smartphone in the Chinese market whereas Honor came up with teaser only. Honor V20: Launch Date

  • Honor V20 will launch in China on December 26.
  • It will launch globally in Paris as Honor View 20 on January 22, 2019.

Honor V20: Specifications and Features

Honor V20 has a 4.5mm display hole on the top left corner of the screen (The company calls it as Full View Display 3.0). It also bears a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 camera sensor at the back, which comes with a 1/2.0-inch CMOS sensor, 4-in-1 Light Fusion, 4 times sensor HDR, and AI capabilities. It is powered by the latest 7nm octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC.

Other than that, Honor claims that the V20 sports a premium design with 5-axis ring dispensing technology, 0.1mm precision assembly, and a customised camera lens. One of the teaser images suggests that the phone might get GPU Turbo gaming technology.

The phone has a Link Turbo feature which automatically analyzes users’ usage models and network conditions to switch seamlessly between Wi-Fi or 4G networks and boost downloading speed by simultaneously adopting both networks.
