HDFC Bank Adds Lounge Access via HOI Platform

Show Quick Read

HDFC Bank has added a new way for its credit cardholders to book airport lounge access through HOI (hoi.in), a platform offering premium airport services. The bank has published an updated list of lounges available for bookings via HOI. Access can also be arranged using LMS.HOI.in, HOI’s dedicated lounge management portal.

What Is HOI and LMS.HOI.in

HOI: Travel Companion Platform

HOI began as a service for travellers passing through GMR-operated airports and has expanded its offerings. It now allows users to book lounges at several airports, including non-GMR airports, using their credit cards.

Users can access lounge options through the HOI website and app, selecting their card, airport, and preferred lounge.

LMS.HOI.in: Lounge Management System

The LMS portal of HOI (lms.hoi.in) specifically lets HDFC Bank customers check their eligibility and select lounges for which their credit cards qualify. It shows airport lounges, terminals, and bookings under the HOI program.

What’s New for HDFC Bank Cardholders

  • HDFC has now updated its list of lounges, which are available for booking via the HOI platform. This includes lounges at airports serviced by HOI.
  • Cardholders can now use their eligible HDFC credit cards via the HOI website or LMS.HOI.in, to reserve lounge access ahead of their flights.
  • The exact set of lounges, service terminals, and card eligibility is visible in HOI’s lounge-access section.

How the Booking Process Works

  1. Visit HOI or LMS.HOI.in: Go to https://hoi.in/lounge-access or https://lms.hoi.in and log in.
  2. Select Airport & Lounge: Choose your departure airport and view available lounges under the HOI program.
  3. Check Card Eligibility: Add your HDFC credit card to check if your card qualifies for the lounge you want. Some cards may have restrictions or specific eligibility.
  4. Book & Confirm: Once eligible, reserve access and receive confirmation. Payment or any extra fees (if applicable) would follow as per HOI/HDFC terms.

Why This Matters

  • Expanded Access: Previously, many lounge access benefits were restricted by bank programs, airport-operator partnerships, or through third-party platforms like LoungeOne. HOI adds another channel for access, possibly increasing choices.
  • Clarity for Cardholders: With HOI updating eligible lounge lists, transparency improves—users can see exactly which lounges are bookable via which card.
  • Better Planning: Knowing eligibility in advance via LMS.hoi.in helps travellers plan lounge stays ahead of trips, avoiding last-minute confusion.

What To Check Before Booking

  • Card Type & Terms: Some HDFC credit cards may or may not be eligible. Details like minimum spends or card tier could matter.
  • Lounge Location & Terminal: The airport, terminal, and whether it’s domestic or international affect availability. Not all airports where HOI services are accessible via every card.
  • Additional Charges: Though lounge access is offered, sometimes food, spa, drinks, or other amenities may incur extra charges not covered under the basic eligibility.

HDFC Bank’s inclusion of lounge access booking via the HOI platform, including through LMS.HOI.in, adds a fresh option for frequent flyers to access airport lounges more conveniently. With updated lounge lists, eligible cards, and terminals clearly shown, cardholders can now plan in advance and make use of these premium benefits with greater clarity and flexibility.
