Apple MacBook Pro With M1 Pro And M1 Max SoCs: Price, Specifications, And More

Recently, Apple alongside the new Airpods 3rd Gen and the two new SoCs announced the latest Apple MacBook Pro. It will be equipped with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips offered by Apple. The successor to the previous-gen MacBook Pro will be much powerful and much more efficient with the work one does.

The newer MacBook Pro comes in 14-inch and 16-inch variants. This article will be discussing the pricing along with the specifications of the Apple MacBook Pro.


Apple MacBook Pro: Price And Availability

Talking about the pricing of the Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch first, the MacBook Pro 14-inch with M1 Pro 8-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16GB Unified Memory, and 512GB SSD costs Rs. 1,94,900 in India and $1,999 in US. The MacBook Pro 14-inch, with M1 Pro 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16GB Unified Memory, 1TB SSD costs $2,499 in the US and Rs. 2,39,900 in India.

Coming to MacBook Pro 16-inch, the Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch with M1 core 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU, 512GB SSD, and 16GB Unified Memory costs Rs. 2,39,900 in India and $2,499 in US. The Macbook Pro 16-inch with M1 Pro 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 1TB SSD, and 16GB Unified Memory is priced at $2,699 in the US, while it is priced at Rs. 2,59,900 in India.

Finally, the Macbook Pro 16-inch which comes with M1 Max having a 10-core CPU and 32-core GPU along with 1TB SSD and 32GB Unified memory costs Rs. 3,29,900 in India and $3,499 in US. 

Customers can now order the new Apple MacBook Pro from the Apple India store. Moreover, the laptops are already made available at Apple Authorised Resellers and in select Apple Store Locations from October 26.


Apple MacBook Pro: Specifications

Apple MacBook Pro comes with M1 Pro and M1 Max Chip. Both the chips will have a 16-core Neural engine. The memory bandwidth on the M1 Pro Chip is 200GB/s, while that of the M1 Max chip is 400GB/s. Alongside, it can be configured with up to 32GB Unified Memory, and it goes up to 64GB only for the M1 Max model. Moreover, the new Apple MacBook Pro comes with up to 1TB SSD which is configurable to 2TB, 4TB, or 8TB. 

Apple MacBook Pro comes in two screen sizes, 14-inch and 16-inch. The 14-inch Macbook Pro has a screen resolution of 3024x1964pixels, whereas the 16-inch model has a screen resolution of 3456x2234pixels. The display on the laptop is a Liquid Retina XDR display having 254 pixels per inch. It has ProMotion technology for refresh rates up to 120Hz, up to 1600nits peak brightness, and up to 1000nits sustained brightness. 

MacBook Pro comes with macOS Monterey inside. Talking about the keyboard, it has a backlit magic keyboard with the touch ID. It also has a force touch trackpad and ambient light sensor. The new MacBook Pro comes with Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.0. Along with it, it has a 1080p FaceTime HD camera. It also has an advanced image signal processor with computational video. 

16inch MacBook Pro

The best part about this one is that Apple has added back the ports to it. It has 3xThunderbolt 3 ports, USB Type-C port (with support for charging, one Thunderbolt 4 port (up to 40Gbps), HDMI 2.0 port, MagSafe 3 port, SDXC card slot, and USB 4 (up to 40Gbps).

The 14inch MacBook Pro comes with a 70Wh lithium-polymer battery which can deliver up to 17 hours of Apple TV app movie playback and up to 11 hours of wireless web. The 16inch MacBook Pro comes with 100Wh lithium-polymer battery having up to 21 hours of Apple TV app movie playback and up to 14 hours of wireless web. Both the laptop comes with USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable. 

The laptop has support for studio-quality three-mic array having a high signal-to-noise ratio along with directional beamforming. The laptop has a 3.5mm headphone jack which has support for high-impedance headphones. There are six high-fidelity speaker systems with wide stereo sound and focus cancelling woofers.
