iPhone 13 And iPhone 13 Pro Series Launched: Price in India, Specifications, And More

The most awaited iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro series have finally been launched in India. The series includes four new phones, i.e., iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The new lineup of iPhones has the same screen size and design as the previous models, however, there have been some upgrades in the battery life, and camera. Here we will be discussing the pricing as well as the specifications of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Series.


iPhone 13 And iPhone 13 Pro: Pricing And Availability

There will be three storage variants of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini, i.e., 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The iPhone 13 starts at the price of Rs. 79,900 for the 128GB model. The 256GB variant of the phone is priced at Rs. 89,900, whereas the 512GB variant of the phone is priced at Rs. 99,900.

Talking about the iPhone 13 mini, the 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 69,900, the 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 79,900, while the 512GB variant is priced at Rs. 99,900.

iPhone 13 Pro series which includes iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, have four storage variants with up to 1TB storage. The base variant of the iPhone 13 Pro, i.e., 128GB variants starts at Rs. 1,19,900. The other three variants, i.e., 256GB variant, 512GB variant, and 1TB variant, costs Rs. 1,29,900, Rs. 1,49,900 and Rs. 1,69,900 respectively.

iPhone 13 Pro Series

The base variant of the iPhone 13 Pro Max that is the 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 1,29,900. The 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 1,39,900. The other two models including 512GB storage and 1TB storage are priced at Rs. 1,59,900 and Rs. 1,79,900 respectively. iPhone 13 Pro Max is the most expensive iPhone ever manufactured by Apple.

In the US, the pricing of the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro series is the same as that of the previous generation. The iPhone 13 Mini starts at $699, iPhone 13 starts at $799, iPhone 13 Pro starts at $999, whereas the iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at $1,099.

In countries including the US, UK, India, Japan, China, Canada, and Australia, the pre-order for the phone will begin on 17 September. The phone will be available for retail purchase from September 24.

Performance And Battery

All the new iPhone models launched at the California Streaming event will be powered by an A15 Bionic chip. The A15 Bionic chip has a 6-Core CPU which includes four efficient cores and two high-performance cores. The processor has a 16-core neural engine. The A15 Bionic chip is said to have up to 50 percent better performance than the leading competition.

iPhone 13 Pro Performance

The iPhone 13 series will have an A15 bionic chip with a 4 core GPU, whereas the iPhone 13 Pro series has an A15 bionic chip with 5 core integrated GPU. Apple hasn’t revealed any information about the RAM and battery of the latest iPhones. The iPhone 13 and 13 Pro Max has 2.5 hours better battery life than the previous model, whereas the iPhone 13 Mini and 13 Pro has 1.5 hours better battery.

Display

The screen size is the same as the predecessor iPhones, the only difference is the notch on the top which is now 20 percent narrower for increased screen space. The iPhone 13 Pro series comes with Apple’s ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate feature. The refresh rate can go from 10Hz to 120Hz or vice versa. The phones can change the refresh rate dynamically based on the user input, swipe speed. This is to make the phone more responsive as well as power-efficient.

The daytime brightness for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro is 800nits and 1000nits. The peak HDR brightness of all four phones is 1200nits. Moreover, they also have support for Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10.

Camera

Talking about the camera, iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini includes a new wide-angle camera. The new wide-angle camera can capture 47 percent more light and less noise for having brighter photos. It has a 1.7um sensor with an f/1.6 aperture. The camera includes sensor-shift optical stabilization from the last year’s iPhone 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 13 Camera

There is a 12MP ultra-wide camera that has an aperture of f/2.4. iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini has a new cinematic video mode that supports rack focus. This allows the focus to shift between subjects when moving. The transition when the focus is shifting from one subject to another is automatic.

iPhone 13 Pro comes with a new 77mm telephoto camera having 3x optical zoom. There is an ultra-wide camera that can take macro shots of up to 2cm from the subject. The camera setup also includes a wide-angle camera which is the primary camera of the phone. The primary camera has 1.9um sensor pixels along with an aperture of f/1.5.

iPhone 13 Pro Camera

All the cameras on the phone including the telephoto camera does support night mode. This is possible because of computational photography. It has new photographic styles that allow the on-device image rendering pipeline with the preference of the users.

Design And Color

Talking about the design, the design of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini is the same as the previous models. They come with a flat-edge aluminum frame with ceramic shield material on the front. The phones have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

iPhone 13 Series

Both the iPhone series, i.e., iPhone 13 series, and iPhone 13 Pro series, comes with custom-designed antennas and radio components. This allows them to support more bands in more places. It also has on-device machine learning which enables new apps and improved privacy. Moreover, the antenna lines are designed using recycled plastic water bottles. 

Talking about the colors, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini comes in five new colors- pink, blue, Starlight, (Product) Red, Midnight. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max come in four new colors- graphic, gold, silver, and sierra blue.
