Microsoft announced Windows 11 on June 24. The new version of Windows brings UI changes and new features over Windows 10. Microsoft said that the Windows 11 Preview will be made available to users through the Windows Insider Program. It is expected that the Windows 11 preview will be made available to the users this week.
It is recommended to run the Windows 11 preview on the computer that one does not use for day-to-day tasks. You will receive the preview if you are a member of the Insider Program. If you are not a member of the Windows Insider Program, then you can register for the program from here.
Note that you will only get the upgrade if your PC is compatible with Windows 11 or not. You can check whether your PC is compatible or not using the PC health check app provided by Microsoft.
If you don’t want to try the preview build, then you can wait till the free upgrade to the public build happens. As per Microsoft, the public build of Windows 11 will roll out to compatible PCs this holiday season.
