OnePlus 9 Series Won’t Get Additional 5G Bands Via The Software Update: Company Confirms

OnePlus 9 series was launched in India in March with 5G SA/NSA bands and N41 and N78. The phone was launched with these 5G bands.

However, recently in an FAQ session, the OnePlus staff confirmed that OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 won’t be getting any additional 5G bands supports via the OTA update.

The staff said that the OnePlus 9 series supports only two 5G bands in India, which are decided primarily on the priority of Indian carriers. They also said that the highest priority band working in India with the widest frequency. They said that the n78 bands reflect the benefits of 5G transmission than all the other bands.

With this, they meant to say that the latest OnePlus flagships, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 won’t get additional 5G bands. OnePlus Staff will keep working on the phones to make the user experience more smooth and flawless.
