Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G With QLED Display, 11th Gen Intel CPU Launched

Samsung has launched Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G as the latest laptop offering from the South Korean electronics manufacturer. The laptop will be launched in two size options- 13.3- and 15.5-inch screen sizes. The laptop has several top features such as 11th Gen Intel CPU, QLED Display, and 5G connectivity. Samsung has also provided it’s proprietary S Pen along with the notebook and a 13-Megapixel camera.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G Specifications And Features

The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G features a 13.3- and 15.5-inch Full HD QLED touchscreen display with the vibrancy of virtually 100% Color Volume. The display uses Quantum Dot technology for bright and brilliant display even in sunlight. The screen has ultra-thin bezels on 3 sides.

The notebook is powered by up to 11th Gen i7 Intel Core Processor along with the Intel Iris X^e graphics card. The laptop also has up to 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM coupled with up to 512GB NVMe SSD. The notebook runs on Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro OS.

There are several special features provided with the laptop. It has a 13-Megapixel World Facing camera. Using which the user can take 720p videos. For audio, the notebook has 2 Max 5W speakers provided by AKG (Harman) with Smart Amp. In terms of security, the notebook also has a fingerprint reader powered by Windows Hello.

The laptop is a convertible laptop-tablet so just by flipping it the user can use it as a large tablet. It can also be placed at an angle to use easily. Samsung has also provided the widely renowned S-Pen with the notebook. Users can even put the pen in the laptop when not in use. The S-Pen also has Air Actions enabling the users to use it even if the laptop is across the room from the pen.

Another very interesting and innovative feature brought from Samsung in the Samsung Galaxy Flex 5G is Wireless Charging. This may seem not new in mobile phones and implementing the same in laptops too might not be too eye-catching at first, but in this laptop, the user can charge their phones wirelessly by just placing their mobile hones over the trackpad. The Trackpad supports QI wireless charging so that means not just Samsung devices, but any device supporting QI Wireless charging can make use of this.

In terms of connectivity, the laptop is equipped with several latest features including 5G (Sub6) using a SIM Card slot, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.0 Type-A port, HDMI, 3.5mm headphone jack, UFS, and MicroSD card slot. The built-in MicroSD card can be used to expand the storage to up to 2 TB while using the UFS Card the storage can be expanded to up to 512 GB.

Coming to the battery, the laptop runs on a 69.7 Wh battery with Fast Charging support although, Samsung hasn’t provided any details regarding it. The 13.3-inch variant is said to last for 20 hours on normal usage while the 15.6-inch variant is claimed to provide 19 hours of normal usage.

In terms of dimensions, the 13.3-inch variant measures 11.91 x 7.99 x 0.51 inches and weighs 1.16 kgs. And the 15.5-inch variant measures 13.98 x 8.94 x 0.59 and weighs 1.52 kgs.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G has two size variants apart from other SSD and Processor options. There is no information yet from Samsung regarding the pricing and availability of the notebook yet. But Samsung is expected to release the prices of the notebook in the US in the coming days.
