Oppo A72 5G With Triple Camera Setup and 90Hz Display Launched: Price, Specifications and More

Oppo has launched the Oppo A72 5G just a few weeks after the launch of the 4G variant of the phone. Apart from 5G compatibility, there are also a few other changes in this device. This model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor against the Snapdragon 665 in the previous version of the phone. Another improvement is the display featuring a 90Hz refresh rate instead of the 60Hz in the earlier device.

Oppo A72 5G Features and Specifications

The Oppo A72 5G features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display. The display has a screen to body ratio of 90.5% and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone runs on Android 10 based ColorOS 7.2. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor coupled with 8 GB of RAM.

Coming to cameras, the 5G variant is a downgrade from the 4G variant as instead of Quad- cameras on the back, the newer 5G variant has just a triple-camera setup. The primary camera is a 16-Megapixel sensor. While other cameras on the phone are an 8-Megapixel Ultra-Wide-Angle camera and a 2-megapixel black and white camera sensor. On the front, the phone has a 16-Megapixel camera with a punch hole cut-out from the screen.

The Oppo A72 5G has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G-LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, and GPS. The phone has a 128 GB inbuilt storage. The device also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The 5G smartphone runs on a 4,040mAh battery which also supports 18W Fast Charging. The phone weighs just 175 grams and has a thickness of 7.9mm.

Oppo A72 5G Pricing and Availability

The Oppo A72 5G has been launched in the single 8 GB + 128 GB variant but with 3 color options at a price of CNY 1,899 (approx Rs. 20,220). The color options are- Neon, Oxygen Violet, and Simple Black. The phone has so far only been launched in China on the official Oppo China website. There is no information so far regarding the Global launch and pricing of the phone.
