Legion Gaming Phone: Expected Features

Back in June 2020, Lenovo stated that it will launch the all-new Legion Gaming Phone the next month. Well, now Lenovo has officially announced the launch date of this smartphone to be July 22.

Lenovo Legion Phone Gaming Phone

As shared in our previous post, the Legion Gaming Phone from Lenovo will be one among many few smartphones to be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 865+ processor. In comparison to the standard Snapdragon 865, the plus variants offer around 10% performance improvements both in the CPU and GPU department.

Lenovo has confirmed that the gaming smartphone will feature dual 45W ports to make 90W fast charging on a smartphone a reality. 90W fast charging will definitely help the Snapdragon 865+ to run at its full potential. However, this fast charging technology coupled with boosted Adreno 650 GPU will drastically increase the temperature of this device.

To overcome the above-mentioned problem this smartphone will feature newly designed heat dissipation architecture coupled with 14 temperature sensors. The Legion gaming phone with model number L79031 scored 648871 points in the AnTuTu benchmark.

The benchmark confirmed that this device will run on Android 10 out of the box and it will have 16GB of RAM. Lastly, similar to the ROG Phone 3 the display of Legion smartphone will have a 144Hz refresh rate, and the higher-end variant of the gaming phone will come with 512GB of internal storage.
