LG has unveiled two new wireless earbuds, the HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN4. The FN4 and FN6 are exactly the same as the only difference between the two being the FN6 having a charging case which is said to kill germs from the headphones while they are being charged and in the case. The two come with Meridian Audio Technology.

How Does The Disinfecting Case Work?
LG had launched its first Truly Wireless Earbuds which could kill germs. The feature then didn’t get much importance and success, but in today’s world where sanitation and has become priority such features may come in handy.
The case has an additional UV light which is supposed to kill germs. According to LG, the case can eliminate as much as 99 percent of E. coli and S. aureus bacteria from the earbuds while charging simultaneously.
LG Tone HBS-FN4 and HBS-FN6 Specifications and Features
Both the earbuds have a canal-type design which LG claims to make the earbuds more comfortable to wear. The earbuds also have an IPX4 water resistance which makes them suitable for gyming as well. The earbuds also have an ambient sound mode, which allows the users to listen to surrounding sounds while wearing the earbuds.
LG has partnered with Meridian Audio to produce these earbuds which makes it filled with several sound enhancement technologies. The earbuds come with Headphone Spatial Processing which creates a soundstage that simulates the experience as of listening to a loudspeaker on the earphones.
The earbuds also have a feature allowing the user to customize the equalizer and sound setting from Meridian Audio. The user can use Natural, Immersive, Bass Boost, and Treble Boost for an enhanced audio experience.
The LG Tone HBS-FN4 and HBS-FN6 support SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. They also have touch controls on the body which user can use to control music playback, adjust volume, pick or decline calls and even activate assistant on their devices.
The battery on the earbuds is claimed to last for about 6 hours of music playback. While using the case, both the earbuds can be charged 3 times to have about 18 hours of playback. The charging case on HBS-FN6 also has Ultra-Violet rays to disinfect the earbuds while charging them at the same time.
LG Tone HBS-FN4 and HBS-FN6 Pricing and Availability
The LG Tone HBS-FN4 and HBS-FN6 have been launched only in England so far for about £100 (Rs. 9,370) for the HBS-FN4 model while the HBS-FN6 with the disinfecting case has been priced at £150 (Rs. 14,060).
The earbuds haven’t even been launched in LG’s home country, South Korea yet. Even the launch date for India is not known yet.
