How to Try Out Google Stadia on Any Android Smartphone

Google has now announced that its Cloud-based gaming platform, Stadia will be eligible in an experimental state to play on any Android smartphone. At of now, Stadia officially only supports Google Pixel, Samsung, OnePlus and other gaming phones like Asus ROG Phone 2.Google Stadia Android App

But as per Stadia community post, users can choose to play games with any Android smartphone on Stadia that can install the Stadia app, including phones that are not on the list of officially supported phones at present. Although this feature is still under development and not every phone can function correctly, users can now try out Stadia and play games on more screens than ever before.

Try Out Stadia on Any Android Smartphone

  1. Download the Stadia app from Play Store or APK Mirror.
  2. Create an account using google sign-in.
  3. Navigate to the Experiments tab in the Settings menu.
  4. Choose “Play on this device”.
  5. You are ready to play games on Google Stadia.

*Note: You need to buy or start free trial of Stadia Pro bundle before playing.


How to Play Games On Google Stadia Without Stadia Controller

A new feature for Stadia players is the on-screen touch controls that make it possible to play the games without a dedicated physical controller.Google Stadia Android Touch Controls

“Touch Gamepad” option can be accessed in the Settings menu. Google also brings an independent resolution control feature which allows players to adjust the Stadia resolution level individually on each device they use.


Google Stadia is currently available only in 14 countries, including the Netherlands, the United States, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain and Sweden. Google is also committed to extending the Stadia platform as rapidly as possible to more devices and countries.

Google Stadia price in India and availability is yet to be announced.
