On Saturday (August 20, 2016), Yu Televentures, a subsidiary brand of Micromax silently launches the Yu Yureka S. The Android-based new smartphone is now listed on company’s official site for Rs. 12,999 and will be available from online and offline stores in the country.
The Yu Yureka S features a 5.2 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with a pixel density of 423ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protection. It is powered by 1.7 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. It bears a 16 GB internal storage, expandable with microSD card and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
The Yureka S sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. It also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It is packed with a 3,000mAh non-removable battery which is rated to give 9 hours of talk time and 450 hours on standby. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.
The Yu Yureka S measures 154.8 x 78 x 8.5 mm and weighs 172 grams. It will be offered in black color only. For the best sound output, the company also included the Wolfson Codec and Yamaha Amplifier. It also sports noise cancellation Mic that removes all the background noise while talking through the device. The smartphone lacks fingerprint sensor while on the other side, on this price range most brands provide fingerprint sensor.
